Maintenance Service Plans

Apparently there are a few companies out there offering maintenance service (not extended warranty) plans for all kinds of vehicles. I was at my local Nissan shop yesterday foi oil change and saw a brochure for a company called EasyCare. Has anyone ever used them? Apparently Nissan advertises them and they have been recommended by Motor Trend magazine. Here's a sample quote from them for my 05 500. My truck has 65K on it but I used 72K for the quote for reasons I can't recall. I'm not very sure about the electronic component coverage. Opinions please. Thanks.

I used a similar service for my Cavalier...I paid $1700 for the service to then find out...they only cover the FIRST time you have the problem...every time after you have to foot the bill. Kinda stupid in my opinion.

I got the same thing on my ML btw...I paid about the same cost and when my water pump went...they forced me to buy an aftermarket by only giving me $160 towards the part...MB charged $320 for the part. So in my case...they don't replace with OEM parts most times either.

YMMV

Thanks. That definitely provides me some questions to ask if I do go that route.
