Trip computer for sale: 02 ML320

Hi guys & gals

It's been a such a long time since I posted to this forum, I occasionally visit and read for fun and it's nice to see a lot of familiar names - Darkman, AC_ML, FAR888, Bogie, Rudedude, Bocabenz, et al. still around and posting. You guys rock!!!

My 02 320 (long been the family safety car) still drives like a champ with no issues at 64K miles…. I’ve been super lucky, the only maintenance I do on the car are oil/filter changes and minor DIY (cabin filter and bulb replacements). My local auto shop (Stuttgart Autohaus in Tucson) fixed the idling issue that has plagued the car since I bought it, now I don’t have to “nurse the throttle" in the mornings until the car reaches optimal driving temperature for the idling to go away.

Am looking at buying an ML350 of the current W164 model as my wife loves the freshened design...she had the opportunity to drive it once as a loaner.

I recently purchased an 08 E350 4MATIC (love this car) and having a blast enjoying the drive as my daily commute.

Now the reason for the post...
I have a brand new trip computer (with installation instructions) I purchased from ebay a while ago for my 02 320 but never used it. I saw some listed for around $110, if you’re interested, you can PM me or reply and it’ll be yours for $70.

Cheers,
Lorryfan!

I've received multiple inquiries on the trip computer so am posting the common questions to help others decide if this is the right one for their car. See attached photos

Part Number: A163 540 52 11
Fits 2002-2005 MLs.

I used one of the same part number on a 99 430. So they can go back farther than 02.

Even better. When I purchased it, the ebay seller had listed it as fitting 02-05 MYs.

Congrats on the new E! Why did you get a 4Matic if you live in Tuscon?

What would the shipping for the trip computer be to Ann Arbor, MI? I believe it's all plug-and-play right? Nothing extra I'm going to have to get or do; just install it...?

Thanks asianml -
I got a great deal on the car and it happened to be a 4-MATIC. So far haven't seen one in Tucson that is 4MATIC.

Regarding the trip computer, I've received so many PMs so to be fair am selling it to the first in-line, but to answer your question, postage via USPS will be $7.00

Am attaching a DIY instructions first posted by S4toML so others can use it as needed.
