Urgent! advice. On bumper replacement.

A roof rack from another fell off and It hit my ml. It cracked the bumber cover. I called the dealer and they said it does not come pre-painted. The insurance from the other car said they will paied for it. I am not sure I want a 3rd party company painting it. I am concern about the quality. <br>

But, I heard that the AMG or the sport bumper does come pre-painted. My question is has anyone tried install an AMG (or sport bumber) on a regular ML-320, 2000. and are the paint of an AMG the same match as the regular ML. <br>

Any help will be appreciated. I am meeting with the adjusters this thursday. I like to have some information before then. <br>

Well, You've said the other insurance will pay for the damage, then use the dealer body shop to have your bumper painted if you are going to use the OEM bumper. If you want to upgrade it to sport or AMG you may need to add a little bit, but if the other insurance didn't care about it. Go for it. Also I'm pretty sure those bumper comes painted used the same code of paint...<br>
