Need a new front bumper and have question.

stillf1y is correct. If you have the base model with no for lights then any bumper 98-05 will fit. But if you have fog lights and other features and have the sport package, then they are all different. So do your homework first.

it is almost correct. my car is 1999 and i fit 02+ front and rear bumper.
to fit front bumper i had to weld top mounting brackets to newer locations to match the bumper mounting holes which are different to 98-00 bumper. rear bumper was easier to fit but required some additional parts that were purchased from the local dealer.

if OP wants to achieve pre-facelift look (why?) the project would be not as cheap because painting of bumpers will be more expensive than the deal on the internet. otherwise if stock bumper is damaged, it is always possible to find bumper in good shape from ebay.

to OP: this topic was covered many times few years back. search for 'bumper upgrade' and you will see many threads with pictures.

I'm a new member and saw that you changed out your f/r bumpers. Your ML looks great. I have a couple of questions for you.

1. How did you figure out that any bumpers will fit the W163?
2. You said that you have a K & N Cold Air Intake...can you please let me know what model you put on your ML?
