I like it, its clean...

I would never do it because that is not exactly an offroad mod
They woud be destroyed!

On this picture it is quite clear, that the tire is not clearing the fender. With rear passenger the fender will cut the tires on road bumps.
Just because it looks good for somebody, doesn't mean it is usable.

163 stand pretty high on the suspension, so in most of the conditions the tire operate below the fender arch. But with heavy load and some road bumps the suspension lowers enough for the fender go below the tire top. I just discovered on my ML55, that even the aftermarket tires are 285 wide, like the factory wheels, but different brand tires have wider crown and the 1/4" difference touches my inner fender on bumps.
On the car above the fender will cut straight into the tire thread.
