The aftermarket faux-xenon bulbs give the color of HID's but not the brightness. It looks cool, but it's no more effective than halogens. (Although the blue is easier on my eyes than the yellowish light.)
If I wanted to spend the money, I would definitely have gone with the HID's.

Do you need to upgrade your lights first to the 2005 style? I have a 2000 ML430. On the Xenoneyes, is it just a bulb replacement or how do you install? They have all different colors up to 12K? are you recommending the 8K?

You can use your stock housing on the xenon eyes. They go in just like the H7 bulbs. However, people are saying that it is much easier on the on coming traffic if you use the projectors (My 05 has projectors).
The 8k gives the perfect look like a brand new Benz or Cadillac.
The 6k puts out the most light and is more white with less bluish tint.
