Folks, I need a used MCS unit to salvage it's LCD screen. LCD should be in very good condition with no scratches. I know I can take it apart to replace the screen.
My problem with my LCD screen is that it's too bright in night mode. It doesn't dim enough which is very disturbing to me. This was a replacement unit from dealer when the car was still under warranty and the original one did not have this issue.

Thanks, I am already using DARK mode. I don't have NAV. The instrument cluster dimmer knob changes the brightness of the MCS buttons but, has no effect on the LCD screen. I took the unit to the same dealer two times as a "non-standard /defective unit" but since car is out of warranty now, they won't replace it.
I have a mcs head unit that I want to sell, I pulled it out of my 2000 ML320 it works perfectly and there are no scratches on the screen. let me know if your interested.
How do these MCS units work? I have a 2002 ML320 and came with the unit but no nav.. could I just replace it? do you need a subscription of some sort? Another stupid question, I am new to this and do not know hot to post, only able to reply to others... Thanks

On the page where all the threads are listed, it will say THREADS IN FORUM: W163 M CLASS, just above that is a greyed out box labeled "NEW TOPIC". It is the same as answering a post. Just put in a heading and fire away.
