'Off-road' - Some of us live in parts of the world where the roads are so bad you may as well be off-road when you are on the road! (LOL)

The pictures I posted where from Hungry Valley Recreational Park in Gorman, Ca, if you are from Los Angeles take I-5 North pass Magic Mountain, exit on Gorman and turn towards McDonald and a quick right after McDonald, go North there will be a sign on the left then make a left.

Many miles in the sand at the outer banks in North Carolina. The ML does extremely well on the beach in some of the softer deeper sand, I am sure that 275 yoko's help with the wide footprint!

Yeah they do great in the sand. I did get stuck though on Pismo beach one evening. I was driving along into the sunset and drove into someones hole that they had dug. People asked if I need help digging out. I politely said no. I 'll get out. I just aired down the tires to 10 psi and I was on my way...

I go to the high desert, the Sierra's, Arizona and Nevada. I usually don't stay close to home... I do a lot of exploring. The last trip was to the Geode beds near Arizona.
Next month we're going to Freemont peak, off HWY 395 just north of 4 corners...

Rudedude, I'm intrigued by your statement above - Kindly explain why it is that the letting out of some air from your tires when stuck would aid your getaway.

Thanks!

My guess is that it would increase the surface area of the tires and allow it to grab the sand rather than cut through it if the tires were at normal PSI.
