Random ideas: Is the rear seatbelt hitting the plastic below the C-pillar? Here comes a stupid one... Is there something in the pockets? Are the plastic door pockets detaching from the door panel?

What would help, could you describe the sound (clicking, banging, metal, plastic).

its not the seatbelt its nothing in the pockets it sounds like something hitting the door and seems like its standing straight up and when you turn it hits the door or pillar and when i go straight it like goes back. you only hear it when im turning fast. i stuck my hand in through were the jack and the cd changer is to see if anything is loss but i dont think there is anything there

I know, this is probably really far out there... is the cargo cover shifting back and forth? Something under the rear seats? (I leave my center headrest under there, sometimes it clunks around, maybe something fell behind there.)

Hi,
Tip for the day :-)
Put on your coveralls, and crawl under your ML, and see if the parking brake wire clips are damaged, and the parking brake wire is touching the intermediate shaft.

isnt this ironic, i dont have a parking brake. i can drive down the street doing 55mph and hit my parking brake and nothing will happen.
