P0410=Headaches + $...Help!!!!!!!!

Well change the oil sender light is off>>>still coming up with p0410 checked air pump works, cleaned MAF, clean switch valves at both sides of the air pump they were dirty...my mechanic is telling me that there is an air tube that leads from the front to the back of the engine in the left that has to be removed because sometimes engine oild gets in there...does that make sense he says it has to be cleaned as well...P0410 is killing my pockets has any body figured this out?

How could this code be killing your pockets when the only thing you did was clean two small valves? If you say the pump is working and the two valves are clean, the only thing left is the CHANGEOVER VALVE. The computer tells the changeover valve to open allowing vacuum to the two shut off valves.

Working with a cold engine, start the engine and immediately remove a vacuum hose from one of the shut off valves and check to see that there is vacuum. If there is then everything is in order.
