My wife is wanting me to buy her a new rig and she has found an 2004 ML350 with 34k on the odometer. Overall the vehicle seems to be in very good shape, it has brand new tires, fully loaded including the teleaid system that looks like it is outdate next month but for the most part it's pretty nice. It's not my favorite color but hey beggers can't be choosers now on to my questions.
1) Are there any things I need to be aware of in this year of vehicle that are comon issues?
2) What is a decent price range on these? I have seen them from 18-40k this one is on sale for $24k. Not overly bad but there seems to be a lot of them out there and most that I saw on Craigslist and other areas were sold at about the same mileage. Is this something to be concerned with? I'm starting to wonder why there are so many in this mileage range.
3) What is the typical factory warranty on these? After I look at the negative equity in our vehicle, the cost of an additional warranty, the money out of pocket it becomes closer to a $28k ride.
what color is that ML?
1) i also have 04 ml350 (inspiration edition)... most major problems are fixed on 04-05 models... just do carfax report...
2) i paid 30k a year ago so 25k is not bad...
3) standard warranty is 4yrs/50k... +2 on extended warranty...
Bought my '03 ML500 almost a year ago with about the same mileage for about 29K. It was a CPO vehicle w/ about 6 mos left on the original warranty. We extended the 1 year CPO warranty to the maximum time/mileage for I think about 3K. I've had a few issues all of which have been resolved, but definitely worth the warranty. A/C, Power steering, Window regulator, etc. I love it and it's so much better than the Volvo we traded in. Seems like many but not all issues were resolved with the 02 revisions. Good luck and enjoy.

Hi , If you have a budget for around 27k to 33k you should look at 2006 model.
The resale will be better for 2006 compare to 2004 after few years. and factory
warranty is 4 years so you dont need to buy warranty......
