New member here. I used to post on mercedesforums.com but didn't see a whole lot of activity there. Looks like this forum has a lot more info and I'm looking forward to learning and contributing to this website.
I am mainly active on BMW forums as my baby is a '99 supercharged BMW Z3.
My fiancee however owns a 2000 Merc ML320, which I mainly look after. I haven't really done much work on the car myself but it runs great and haven't had too much trouble with it (crank sensor, battery and power steering pump broke down). Own the vehicle for 2 years now and it's coming up on 90k miles.
It had all the major service done according to Mercedes' standards with the exception that I change the oil more frequently (every 8k) with a good synthetic oil. The vehicle has mostly seen highway driving on low traffic hours, so I hope we can do a lot more miles with it.

There are lots of really nice people on this forum who offer good solid advice in relation to the ML - They have sure made me feel welcome and informed.
I could tell from the Hoehn plates that you were from southern CA. The truck looks like it is great shape, after all it lives in some of the best weather in the country. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! Due to lack of information, I haven't done much to the ML myself. I mainly had my local BMW mechanic service the ML. Very fair and knowledgeable guy. Although he specializes in BMW/Saab/Volvo, he's pretty hands on with any vehicle.
You've just discovered a treasure throve of "all things ML." There are some mechanically astute folks here and there's always someone who's had a similar problem you may be experiencing with your ML if any.
