Cow magnets... yeh believe me

Dairy famrer's used to buy "cow magnets" which were bullet shaped magnets that they put down a cows throat so that any metal eaten by the cow would attach to th emagent and not chop up the inside stomach of a cow.

Farmer's in the 50's and '60's used to saw these magenet in half - long ways, and place around their fuel lines on their tractors and farm equiptment - following a rural tale that this would increase mileage.

In the gas cruch late '70's this rural wife's tale story got published, and cow magent suppliers buisiness sky rocketed as consumers bought the magnets to do the same thing to their cars... when you had odd/even gas days, and lines at the pump, you were willing to do anything.

Strage but true !

I'm still looking for the elusive 100 mpg carburetor that fits on my 1976 Cadillac Eldorado... Got pretty close one time up near Fallon Nevada, some old timer was telling me about a farmer that made one. Then one day a bunch of black Chevy Suburbans came to his farm, A bunch of guys in black suits and dark sunglasses took the farmer away never to be seen again...

Man, stop this, I am rolling on the floor laughing! To bad they dont carry 'Window-X" performance enhancer. I have been using this on every car. Just put it into the window washer reservoir and everytime you wash your windows it disolves part of the window, after 10 applications you have no front and rear window left and the wind resistance is lowered 80% amounting to a fuel savings of thousand of dollars a year....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Boy! I bet on the 11th time you activate your windshield washer you eliminate the dead weight of the vehicle's occupants too, resulting in even more fuel savings!

This thread is getting really stupid!!!

To save more fuel, ease your leadfoot on the gas pedal. Do not drive like you just escaped out of prison.

FYI: I still like my fridge magnet!

You should see what wet, humid, sticky heat does to people. I've been outside since this morning in the heat and rain painting and cleaning the garage.
