I bought generic wipers from an auto supply store and tried to take the deflectors off the oem wipers but did not find anywhere to attach the screws for the deflectors. Ended up taking them back and getting another set of oem ones.

You might consider these. They work very well and have many advances built into them. Plus they look pretty cool.

Bosch ICON Wiper Blades, Replacement Wiper Blades and Windshield Blades

Do the Icon wiper blades require changing the metal arms?

No, they work fine with the existing arms. But they look cooler with a flat arm. In any case the entire assemblage is visually much sleeker and increases visibility. Plus for snow climates, they're already like having winter wipers. And the teflon blades never "chatter."

I was at my local Fred Meyer store recently and found the new Rain-X Latitude wipers. They look like the ICON. I purchased a set to see how well they work and besides Fred Meyer has an in store coupon "buy 1 and get 1 free", good thru March 3rd.

The wipers don't chatter and wipe very well. I haven't had them very long to determine how well they will hold up. So far, I'm happy with them.

Rain-X
