What year did ML start having stability control?
I'm thinking of buying one, and want to know when ESP came standard. I saw some pics of a 99 that had ESP, but I don't know if that is just traction control or stability control.
Anything else I need to know about these trucks?

1999 was the first year with ESP, see

1998 had ESP as an option.

It was Not an option when I got mine.
Let me add that I didn't care since for me, ESP is like oversized golf clubs. Not that helpful if you actually know what your doing but good for beginners.

Yeah I bet you know the trick how to apply left front brake while your truck goes oversteer.

Oversteer? You throw a brick a in the path of the front outside tire. I thought everybody knew that.

I think the 4 corner brick dispenser was a European option not available in the US.

Yes, I remember specifically checking the BAS/ETS, ABS options instead of the FCBD.
