| I love the warranty on my '04 ML, and I love my dealer I took my '04 ML into service today, I have this at my AR lake house with a cuple of my other cars, since my original 3yr MB warranty is coming up on a close since I bought the car Dec '03...
By they way, I have had no issues with this car... at that time maintainence (other than pads and wiper blades) was free for 3yrs/50K.
The only non-serice warranty item (actually which happened after I loaned the ML to my ex-champion-cheerleader/gymnast girlfriend - the petitie top-of-the-pyramid type) was the replacement of the overhead sunroof switch panel that my AR gal had managed to mess up ... a $350 complex part replaced no charge.
My dealer service guys like my other MB's (for good reason but I won't go into that here) - and they love my girl when she brings in the ML with here smile and bounce.
We went over the car. from front-to-back on any possible issue - and they suggested I might develop a "split seam" on my driver's seat next week, and they will order the replacement leather now and "be ready" to have a warranty replacement for the driver's seat leather next week.
They said with the normal ML leather, if under warranty and a crease cracks and shows white underneath they can do a warranty replacement - but since this is a Inspiration (with the softer pebbled leather I still like over my other ML) that a split seam would be required to do the warranty replacement - and they showed me where the threaded seam should "split" before I bring it in next week.
These guys have been real guys with me on my cars down here - not only on my ML, but standup guys on the parts I have ordered for my other cars thru them...my show cars can only take OE...
I picked up some OE pads today for the ML.
I am having drilled/slotted/zinced Zimmerman rotors put on by my indie tire guy tmrw.
Sure front dealer pads were pricey at $130+tax, compared to eBay or internet, but the 2004 dealer pads surprised me by being Pagid German made (which in German is marked Fugid), when I thought the OE replacements would be Bendix-US like some I had gotten years ago for my 1st ML (which was way back in Feb'98, one of the 1st '99's).
Shit, my dealer guys even replaced one of my wheel MB logo plates - and I have aftermarket chromed wheels...
And I don't have to schmooze and do the Christmas gift thing with these guys like I have to do on my San Diego MB guys... |
