Thanks
Had a similar problem on the driver's side. It's not yet fixed but I will...
Suprisingly, ... this is a common problem for ML... whoever suplied plastic accessories for ML deserves to be "shot"... (just kidding!!! I'm not serious!...)
I'm just wondering if Mercedes did what it's required to be done to make sure plastic accessories supplier passed quality test.... to me it seems like most plastic stuff in MLs are very easy to break... not sturdy enough!.... aaaagh

I think there's nothing wrong with the quality of the plastic component. If you examine the way it was fitted to the seat you can see why the plastic component would break. The soft seat cushion (sp?) is resting on the edge of the plastic cover. So when you get in you are practically seating on the plastic cover.
Just my 2cents.

Same problem here on the driver's side. I've been meaning to get that fixed for a while now. Is Crazy Glue enough? Won't I need to get the right screw/bolt as well?

Do you think a burl seat bottom would be overkill?

Sticking accelerator pedal ML500

Could anyone advise me about how to fix a sticking accelerator pedal on a 2002 ML500? A friend said WD40, but that doesn't sound right. On a flat road, it gets very sticky between 60-65mph.
