Is it necessary to drop 20 inchers??
My perfect set would be 19x11 wheels (fits fender well just right and flush with flares) but there are a lot of 20s for sale here so I'm wondering: does one need to drop the truck with 20s to make the look I'm looking for? The 22s I've seen definitely require a drop or two - unless they're on steroids or something.

RE: Is it necessary to drop 20 inchers??
I had my front end dropped about an inch (few turns, I forget how many). When I put my 20's on my old ML430.
Front end was a tad bit to high for my taste.

Would it mess up your alignment if you only lowered the front? Just curious. I would like to do the same on mine.

Apparently not. I have read several posts that state an alignment is not necessary after minor lowering/raising.

Thanks guys, the drop makes it look better. I assume
that by turns you're talking about the torsion bars, right? Is this a DIY thing? If not, do the MB service people do this willingly or do I have to take it to a suspension shop?
