The old star software can only be used for old COMAND models that were available in cars until 04/2002. Most dealers don't have this software any more and to reinstall takes 2-4 hours for one job only.
We at MEGACOMM! did develop our own solution, the MEGADIAG 3000 series tester tools. With our tester unit you can remove the TV/DVD interlock for all BLAUPUNKT, BECKER and SIEMENS/VDO comand units, except the video-free A/B/C/ML/R-class units (we are working on this).
The latest models are W221 S-class and C216 CL-class that have been implemented.
For all models except W221/C216 it's possible to send us the unit and get it back with the interlock removed within 24h after we recevied it.

P.S.: Don't look for any keycodes to remove TV interlock, they have been cancelled during the last months by Mercedes and were only working for E-/SLK- and CLS, all other models were never supported !!!
