hav recently purchased an ML320, as i've only just turned 19 i was unable to get insured on a 55 or a 430, i wasn't happy with the power of it as i have to tow lwb S-classes an CL's very often, so i thought i'd look into a couple of possibilities, first i went to brabus, an must admit i was disgusted by the quality of their aerodynamics and unbelievibly ugly styling, not even bothering to ask about tuning my car as i have heard from friends an hav read that they're tuning methods don't even meet the standards of carlssons, carlsson was never an option as i know there is only 1 gud thing that comes from them, that being the wheels, so anyway i went to kleemann and now have the V6 supercharger, 20" wheels and my power output is now almost 400bhp, and can safely say that i gave a guy a bit of a shock when the ML320 came flying past his new BMW M3, hopefully he now knows not to buy a beemer again! basically my point is that i'm one very happy bunny and i jus wanted to share it with my fellow inthusiasts.

Welcome! And sounds like you got a pretty fast ML!
If you couldn’t get insured on an ML430, then definitely don’t let your insurance company know you supercharged the ML320 as they might actually drop you! In fact, if anything happens to your truck, your insurance likely won’t pay to repair or replace the supercharger, and you may even find that if someone else is at fault, the other insurance won’t pay either! Regardless, enjoy it!
yeh, me an my dad have been through this, i am now insured under his name, and am paying too much, his insurence is so much as it is with his CLK 55, 993 turbo and my mums new W164 ML 320 CDi, so in actual fact its not that bad, i think i'm paying about ÂŁ4000 or ÂŁ5000 english pounds a year.

also a quick question if u don't mind?, i was wondering if u know where i can find non AMG wheel arches?
thanx for the welcoming! my new old ML is lovely, i dont know y it was slated so much by the press, i have never fancied the idea of owning one but with my mum needing a replacement and the good price.
i was amazed with the drive, an with the 2 rear lowering springs and stiff front shocks it drives like a very high car, very impressed. and definatly a wolf in sheeps clothing, or shall i say 4x4 clothing.

Hey. I was wondering how much you paid for the supercharger and did u get it installed at a local shop or did u have to ship/drive
it to where kleeman is located?
400BHP from a supercharged ML320 - is that for real? Is it even possible without the engine letting go sometime in the not too distant future ?
It'd be interesting to put it on a dyno and find out what it's putting to the wheels.
BTW 20" wheels actually degrade performance in terms of acceleration.
Like someone else said I suspect your insurance company would take a very dim view of the modification - should they find out.
Not least should you be involved in an accident they'll deny coverage and you'll be on the hook for $$$$$.
FYI I'm originally from the UK and know all too well how auto insurance business works.
In the meantime enjoy your hotrod.
