How remove magazine from Cd Changer unplugged

Hello,
Can anybody help me?
I have unplugged my old cd changer from my old radio of my ML430 '99 and I have changed it to a Comand Unit. I have sold the radio and yesterday I have realized the magazine inside the cd changer is full of cds. How can remove them from it?
I know i'm a little bit stupid, don't tell me it please...[:)]
Thanks

Just checked it out... You might have to remove it. Because there might be a CD in the read area. So you might have to take that one out too... The changer tells you how to OPEN it.

RE: How remove magazine from Cd Changer unplugged

when my changer broke and would not release the magazine, I had to take it apart. It wasn't a particularly easy job.

I would suggest, if you have a friend with a similar ML, simply detach the wiring plug from his,run the plug to yours, ejrect magazine and then plug up original......

Good luck !!

RE: How remove magazine from Cd Changer unplugged

Thanks ttaleric.
I have opened the changer but to eject the cd seems to be difficult and dangerous. I have fear if I break the laser or then mechanism.
I prefer try to connect to 12V the correct pins and changer eject the cd and magazine itself.
Any idea what pins are - and +?

Thanks springerfever,
This is my last chance, but I don't know who has an ML with this cd changer.
I was thinking to go to my dealer if there's any car to switch it and eject the magazine.
But if I can do it myself, better than go to my stupid dealer[;)]

RE: How remove magazine from Cd Changer unplugged

In some of the sony and alpine changers there used to be a manual unpowered way to easily eject the magazine.

Use a stiff card (something laminated) try sliding it under the magazine. Aim to be between the magazine and the mechanism holding it. On some players there is a manual release switch under there that the card triggers and releases the magazine. Worth a try before using screw drivers.

RE: How remove magazine from Cd Changer unplugged

HI

i had the exact same problem! I tried connecting 12V to various pins, but this didnt work. S If i remember correctly the whole mechanism is motorised so you do have to be careful not to break it. I think i firstly started by turning the gears with a pen and this takes it to the first stage of ejecting. When you press eject you always hear the motor whirring and it moves the magazine into the eject position. You cant just pull the magazine straight out. Just be gentle! I think this is the only way unless you can find another ML. Hope this helps
