Anyone know where the best deal is on ML55 wheels? What All season tires fit the 18" wheels??

It seems like most of the 285/50/18 tires are performance summer tires. I don't want to swap rubber for the winter, so I would like an all season tire on the 18'. Are there any out there?

You can search eBay for better deals, but TireRack has them for $339. The Pirelli Scorpian Zeros ($167) have a snow traction rating (the stock Dunlops don't and are pretty bad!) so they may be as close as you can get to all-season tires. If you live in a very snowy area I wouldn't recommend the wheels for winter driving, they're just too wide. For non-winter driving the Dunlops have been very good to me in dry or wet weather.

Unfortunately the Pirellis are pretty bad in snow too. You can't have both I'm afraid. You can either get a good performance tire that isn't so competent in the snow, or winter tires. Currently there are no all-seasons that work well in the snow for this tire size, at least not to my knowledge.

I currently have GrandTreks and they are fine for the snow we get in Toronto...

not sure if Grand Trek's are all seasons or light truck... or what the difference is between light truck&all season tires.

The 255/55/18 sizing might be more appropriate for all season for a bit narrower of a tire.

That size is too narrow to fit the AMG rims unfortunately

The Grandtreks aren't available in that size...

and there really isn't that much of a difference between the light truck and all seasons except for the sizing system and or the names. Light truck tires may use the 'LT' method instead of the 'P-metric' or 'Metric' system. LT tires may also been all-terrain, whereas all seasons are typically not.

for winter driving you want narrow tires and possibly smaller rims. you can always get a new set of rims and put winter tires on them, that's what i do.

I'm in the process of doing just that...

When I go in for my 'A' service I'm asking for pricing on some '02 ML320 rims. I'll probably get the Dunlop WS M2's at TireRack along with a nifty wireless pressure sensor and have them install it before it snows next.
