Weird Noise

Does anyone know why my ML make a weird noise when i brake or when i take off, or when the car moves to its left side. Like on an an incline. It makes this weird clicking noise in the rear, well at least i believe its the rear. Also do you know how to remove the center console.
Thank You,
John

RE: Weird Noise

Do a search on torsion bars, could be your problem. Many of the ML's have it. Either mine has worked itself out or I just don't notice anymore. Annoying but not harmful.

I'm sure it might be other things like joints or stuff but others will have to comment on that.

RE: Weird Noise

The clicking noise in mine was the transfer case. Change the transfer case fluid (1.6 qts.+ Dexron III ) and see if it goes away. Mine did.
