I have regullar halogen headlights and don't have the immediate money to get bi-zenon lights, though that would be so HOTT, but i was thinking of getting Silvania Silver Star bulbs for my 2000 ML. Has anybody bought them before and if so, which ones? I don't know much about lighting, but if there is a better company out these, please tell me. Also i would like to know how I can replace the bulbs by myself by anyone who has done it before. Thanx in advance
1. You can buy Sylvania SilverStar (the most expensive they have for approx. $40)
2. You can buy cheap but extremely rice burner blue Euro bulbs. (I think thats what they're called)
3. Or you pay $80 for PIAA bulbs. They are pure white though, no blue touch or anything. They are the brightest ones too.
Before I bought my Xtec HID kit, I had two Jeeps and bought PIAA for the one and Sylvania for the other. I didnt really like the Sylvania because they really looked like someone painted the bulb green/blue. And thats exactly what kind of colour they produced, greenish.
I really like the PIAA, extremely bright and combined with new headlights, they are by far the brightest lights on the road (brighter than Sylvania), way too expensive though!
