NAVIGATION SYSTEM

All of a sudden, the map on my nav says I am on a different road. Have you guys experienced this? I will be driving down a road and it will say I am on a completely different road. Why does it do this and how do I fix it?

RE: NAVIGATION SYSTEM

Hi!
Do you have Comand unit or original USA navigation?
GPS antenna??? may is the problem or setup.
What kind antenna you have?
Do you have on the navigation menu "Present location"
to show your vehicle on the map when you are driving.
Do you have speed signal?
Do you install by your self?

Regards

RE: NAVIGATION SYSTEM

Unplug your battery for 15 minutes, to see if it clears itself........it worked for me..if not, your antenna is probably shot.....[:0] Make sure, you have your radio code handy !!!!

RE: NAVIGATION SYSTEM

dont panic; mine does this every now and then; we call the voice 'greta'; every now and then she gets 'lost', but later on she snaps back into position correctly. sometimes the fluxgate compass in the rear hatch gets mixed up and you fix this by driving slowly in a fairly small circle a couple times. plus if its real cloudy and you're not picking up enough satellites, the accuracy goes down.
my $0.02 worth
good luck

RE: NAVIGATION SYSTEM

Mine did the same thing lately. Showed that i was driving on a road parallel to the one i was actually on. after i went and retyped the address i was going to, it thought for a minute and fixed itself. It was very cloudy too by the way, so may it affected nav somehow.
