My parents are out of the country for 6 months so they asked me to keep their E320 at my house so they dont have to pay the 400 a month for the garage in their building.
I am driving it because gas prices are crazy and it gets better mileage than my 8 cylinder ML
I filled up the tank with Super and 10 min later the CEL comes on, drive for 1 hour the light goes out.
My father can be cheap sometimes and he may have filled up with a lower grade of gas.
Has changing grades of gas done this to anybody else?
try taking the gas cap off for a while maybe some pressure built up. that used to be a problem in our old S class and only happens once a year in our ML. In the ML you have to let the pressure out then start and drive it 5 or 6 times before it resets...something along that line is what my service guy told me last time my ML did this.
Was the car running while you pumped the gas? Also, make sure the gas cap is on tight.
