MCS Tips & Tricks???
I know there are tips and tricks for the Command unit, but are there any cool ones for the old fashioned MCS units?

Old fashioned MCS units. Which ones are those?

RE: MCS Tips & Tricks???
In many ways the MCS is advanced and not old-fashioned at all, like it's DVD-Nav capability (which the Comand 2 never had), phone and voice integration, etc. It does have some pretty "old" features though like no standard AUX input capability, no RDS (even though it's not that widespread in North America it does exist), no song-titles for CD's, etc. And then there is that volume/power control on the right-side of the unit; like it was designed for Japan....

RE: MCS Tips & Tricks???
MMMMMM... and no video input ! Command accepts the OEM tv tuner!.
.... but now with the multimedia adapters also available and cheap enough for the MCS, it's also a not too limiting feature ...
EXCEPT!: YOU CAN'T NAVIGATE AND WATCH TV (THE KIDS IN THE BACK - NOT THE DRIVER) AT THE SAME TIME.....
... oh I'm shouting again.....
PS: Anyone bought the stuff from the us suppliers yet?
I thought the "Wolf" was toying with the idea? As I curretnly understand it, you can only plug-play it when you don't have the DVD Nav Drive, because used the same connector... otherwise you need to send it in.

That's actually one feature I like, so I can look at the screen while reaching to the buttons on the right of it. Guess my arms are long enough. [:)]
PS. I guess we had figured out both the AUX in and VIDEO in recently.

Old fashioned as in NOT a Command unit.....
OK....
So what you see is what you get....
Time to start some of the cool wiring projects to integrate the i-Pod with the unit.
