I am sure this topic has been discussed to the umpteenth degree on this forum, but I have never posted here and I cant get the search to work right now.
What I want to do is to upgrade the headlights on my 2000 ML320 to the newer look lights. Currently mine are the halogen, and I plan on staying with halogen. Can I simply just buy a 2002-3-4 headlight assembly and retrofit it directly into the 2000? Are there any differences I should be aware of? Will this fit without modifications?
Last question is, where is the best place to buy something like this? Any inputs will be very much appreciated.

Just buy from PP. They are 505$ Shipped they come with the Pigtail adapters. If you were to just buy from the dealer they would not work. The harness will not work. People have bought them off Ebay and what not. But I went with PP and I am pretty happy with it.
If you can't find OE ones cheap like I did, you are best off going to Performance Products and getting the pigtail adaptors with the lights and be done.
