This afternoon I decided to pull out my hatch handle an clean, grease, and re-seal the handle.
To do this I had to remove the inside panel, outside chrome. All went well, I replace everything and tested it....
Now comes the part I need help with!. I started playing with the latch on the bottom of the door (Just for the hell of it), and pushed the release in!.... Now I can't get it out again, and as such can't close the hatch because the release is already closed.... What do I need to do to get it open again?.... I've looked for a release pin/lever , but not found anything. I did this once before with my T-Model E-Class and was able to get the release out again, but forgot how I did it?
I'm sure someone else has done this before!
PS: This has nothing to do with my fix (clean/grease)of the handle!.
...or simply stick a finger in (where the latch would normally go) while the door is open, and pull the door pull (in the rear handle) as if opening the hatch. It should click open.
That's the first thing I tried (simulate the door shut, and then open it), but it still won't budge... I didn't use my finger though, I used a screw drive, and applied a little pressure similar to that what would happen if you normally would open it!.....
MMMMMMMMMM........
PS: Just got from a snail fest tonight. Once a year the french (frogs), and the germans just across the border have street village festival where there is heaps of wine drink & snails to eat. I don't do snails, so I stuck to the wine instead!!!!!

Sounds about as repulsive as the Brits Blood Pudding![xx(]
Can't find the smiley with the "choke" "throwup", otherwise I would post it! Stupid frogs! At any rate the wine was great!
Had a night's sleep , went back down into the garage this morning, ... used a bit more brut force pulling it out with a screw driver ... applied the wolfgang outside trick ... VOILA! OPEN!
Thanks guys!
PS: Not quite as bad as the chicken feet floating in soup I saw in Thailand! YUCK!
