I am thinking about getting sat radio and i am thinking about the new handheld airwave by pioneer it comes with an antenna for use in the car that has to be placed on the outside. my question is how to get the wire back inside the car. have any of you installed the antenna in place of the GPS antenna since i dont have that in my 00ML. or i was thinking about placing it on the black intake right in front of the windshield where your cabin air comes in and just running the wire in the driver side door. any install pics of sat radio with external antenna would be appreciated.
o one more thing i live in arizona and we have no high buildings and basically no obstructions from the sky how important is the antenna placement? should i just put it on the roof or would the black part infront of the windsheild work?
I placed mine inside the car, on the center of the dashboard just behind the windshield glass. I works great, didn't require any difficult exterior wiring, and it avoids the advertisement that there's "goodies" in the vehicle.
