RE: Fender Flare

There are flares made for the 99. Believe they are the same as 98's which I once had. No bumper change is needed for these. Check with a dealer and see if they are still available

RE: Fender Flare

The OEM flares are available from dealers for pre-02 model year (cheapest), post-02 (more expensive) and sport models (most expensive). The pre-02 flares are the smallest and they fit well with the older bumpers (and even better with updated bumpers - I still have these older flares on my ML after upgrading the bumpers). The post-02 flares are a little "higher" than the older model's and they have matching bumper-adapter pieces (that mount over the rear bumper to flow the flare into the bumper). The sport flares are very different, with the rear being wide to match up with the rear sport bumper.

Neither. Those are non-OEM flares.

RE: Fender Flare

I have the OEM flares on a 99 430. They look good and blend fine with the bumper lines.
They were about $495 unpainted.
