Nokia GSM Mobile Kit with US ML

Has anyone here investigated or actually purchased the MB Nokia GSM kit sold by Steve (MBENZNL)?
http://www.mbenznl.com/products/phones/nokiakit.shtml

I currently have a V60i kit, and have been planning a Mikbox upgrade to something like a Motorola V600. Is this Nokia kit a viable alternative to a Mikbox setup. I like my Nokia 6310i (even though it's a few years old) and for my business purposes it is excellent.

wierd! There is 2 on ebay.de . The other one has the, same text. Apparently both have bought the items new from a friend!

Pics are slightly different however! .... I'm just confused because the text seems identical!

Do I need the dash-mount? The handset cup in that kit (the first one) looks like one that would mount inside the armrest.

I think both need to be mounted on a dash mount!
The handset (not handy) does not look like it will physically fit inside the armrest. I fail to see how to mount a phone shell in our pre-MY2002 models?. We have a deep container unlike the MY2002+ models which have 2 seperate opening containers.

You can get a cheap dash mount (like I have, and sometime in the future to be changed with an ebay.de OEM dash mount), or do the proper thing with a color matched OEM one (I would prefer to see this in your truck , since it's tastefully done interior might be spoilt by a cheap looking mount)

PS: The small black square piece in the pic of your original (first) post is mounted (screwed) on the dash mount, and the shell then connects to it!)

cheers

Maybe this might be what you want to do , but I think it an awful waste of space!.

RE: Nokia GSM Mobile Kit with US ML

Peter, I was planning on installing the phone inside the armrest storage compartment. After checking the space the Nokia holder will take up, I have decided to go with a newer Motorola clamshell phone and it's (very small) cup that fits very easily and unobtrusively inside the compartment. So it's Mikbox with my existing PSE for me...

I agree , the smaller, the better!

.... Personally I don't see why you would want the phone accessible at all, given that you will have full integration with the comand/MCS?. Looking to change my setup to something that is hidden in the future also.

PS: The presumption I am making is that you will be using 2 phones with a dual chip, and syncing the phonebook every now and then with your outlook/desktop/other phone.

PS: All I want to see in my interior is a phone enabled comand! (Less-is-more!)

The bluetooth setup still seems to be some time away.... every time I check the web, they shift the production date....I think this must be a trick to fish for potential customers!.
