ML320 shocks
What are the best choices for a good ride, compliant over large dips etc. for the 1999 ML320?
I heard Monroe makes pretty good riding shocks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would go with Bilstiens. They are stout, durable and made for that model. Monroe may make a model that fits the ML but it will not perform like the Bilstien. IMO

The OEMs are twin-tube dampers made by Sachs and probably a bit more compliant than the Bilsteins. Choices, choices...

That is true .. the stock shocks are more comfy and plush riding. If you are looking for a firmer ride then the Bilsteins are for you.

I'm interested in a softer ride and better compliance over large dips. I don't think I can fix the SUV style side to side tipping.

You can get the EIBACH swaybars and that will help with the swaying from side to side.

RE: ML320 shocks
Thanks for all the replies.
My problem is in my neck where 3 "whiplash" accidents, chiropractic high velocity high amplitude adjustments, bad posture, and stiff suspensions have taken their toll.
Would beefier sway bars help the side to side motions "as if its on a fulcrum" effect of sitting high up in an SUV? I think most of the problem is that the sway bars may be too stiff, since driving my friend's new Cayenne S was way worse for me than my ML is currently.
Regards
