need help removing the headliner
hi people. i need help on how to remove the headliner. the hinge of the passenger side sunvisor, the side where you can detach/attach the sunvisor broke. the half part of the plastic is inbetween the headliner and the roof itself. can anybody suggest on how to remove the other half? all i can think of is remove the headliner thru the sunroof. can i remove the modlings safely around the sunroof that holds the liner so that i can insert my hands inbetween an hopefully i can get the broken hinge? any tips on how to remove the modlings or the headliner? thank you.

Would love to help, can you tell us what year and model you are working on? There are already a lot of pics and advice about the headliner removal here and we can hopefully give you a lot of help.

RE: need help removing the headliner
I have been searching for the thread that had pics of each step of the removal and can't locate it yet. I am still looking. Maybe someone else remembers it. I saw it a couple years ago before I regged here and just a few weeks when researching installing the VES in the vehicle.

Headliner Removal Supporting Doc
... because the the headliner is underneath everything mounted on it, as well as the side mouldings, you have to remove these first!.
It get even worse.... The side mouldings (b/c column) are underneath the bottom mouldings, so you have to remove these prior as well......
The supporting doc to remove parts prior to the headliner are as follows.
... Consider this a lower->middle->upper panel/moulding WIS removal post!!!! ... then remove the headliner!!!!
PS: USE THIS POST FOR ANY FUTURE! ... HOW DO I REMOVE Q's
