Received and installed the Aero wipers I bought from German Ebayer teileguru-de (Patrick Lohr) - a very smooth transaction by the way. The wipers installed perfectly, are very high quality (Bosch), works very well and look awesome. The rear wiper especially is a vast improvement over standard. The attached photos show the fronts and rear. The first photo shows new and old side by side.
Within the next few weeks my bumper, tailgate panel and 2002 mirror update are being installed and that will be that for modding (right).
Curious if they're better in snow as well? Or does it just make a difference in rain and how much visibility you have over the hood (the old wipers covered part of it)?

They were pretty pricey - about US$135 for the 3 wipers. That did include the wiper arms front and rear, as well as 3 wiper blades so I guess from that point of view it was pretty reasonable. I am getting an extra set of wiper blades for EUR28 as well. Insured shipping from Germany to North America is fairly expensive as well - around EUR30.
The lack of wiper intrusion into the view out of the windshield was very noticable when I first installed these - the OEM wiper arms sit above the wiper blade, and the wiper blade is tall as well. With these, the wiper blade is low slung and the wiper arm is tucked in front of the blade.
Looks great "Redeye"....l love the look...l'm glad to hear that the bumper mod is still a go.....Again, l apologize.......and as for the "modding" ever ending... l thought the same, when l bought the 02 ML 55, but now, l will be installing a VES for the family, l know my son will love it.....Enjoy the "modding"..it's a great hobby....[:D]

retrofit version for regular arms should be available soon but the rear arm looks nice
I had Aerotwin wiper blades on the regular arms before these - probably the same ones that Birger has on his. Problem is, while they work well (silently) they really look pretty ugly on the standard arm - almost agricultural.
