SRS (AIrbag) light on

Hi everybody,

After months of participating as a guest, I decided to become a member of this forum. The quantity and quality of information that this board contains and deliver is really awesome.
My question now: Yesterday, I finished replacing the passenger front door lock actuator. Before I started with the job, and after removing the door panel, I decided to disconnect the wire that goes to the airbag module (attached to the door) to avoid potential risks of trigging the airbag while I was working on the door.
Now that the job is done, and everything has been re-connected and all the doors are locking correctly, I found out that the SRS light on the instrument panel is ON. Any idea as to how I can turn that light OFF without having to take the car to the dealer (can I reset the SRS system by my own means?)
Thanks again for all of your help. BTW, I am talking about a 2000 ML 320 AWD.

Believe the dealer will have to do it.

RE: SRS (AIrbag) light on

So, there is no sequence/magic touch to try to get rid of this annoying light? I can't believe that I successfully managed myself to change the actuator and now I will have to pay the dealer anyways.
Thanks,

Marian
