please help central locking

could anyone tell me step by step to enable the central locking to lock when driving at speed.
ive had the button held in all positions for 5 seconds, but to no avail, wat am i doing wrong!
where is the lock position on the ignition?

First of all, is your ML a model year 2000 or later? If not, you will have to take it to the dealer to have this feature programmed.
