OEM VES (Video Entertainment System) picture flicker problem

I recently installed the OEM VES system and experiencing problems with the picture. When I play a tape or a DVD, after ~30-50 minutes the screen would slowly move to the left and it moves faster and faster until the whole screen becomes a blur. [:(!]

I have taken the following steps to troubleshoot the problem with no success.

1. take apart the system and check all connections
2. discount the DVD player
3. using the DVD connector to the VCR
4. check the noise filter
5. remove and reinstall fuse

That is a fault in the VES, either due to overheating, or just a plain fault.

I suggest you take it back to wherever you bought it and ask for a replacement.

Sounds like that's the problem. I will try to get a replacement from the vendor.

I contacted Potomac today and they will sent out a replacement unit. What great service.
