H&R Springs question --> General suspension question..
Guys planning on buying H&R Springs for the ML next... now I was on Tire Rack and they have two versions flat spring end and no flat spring end, what's the difference, which one should I use?
What's better, H&R or Eibach and does anyone have pics of the drop?
RE: H&R Springs question --> General suspension question..
I think Eibach is the way to go. I got them together with Bilstein shocks, you know you must change shocks when lowering your ML. As for the flat or round ends, there are some differences in years in MLs, so best is to look for yourself. I think once you make an order and specify year of your ML, they should know which one you need. I got my Eibachs from nolimitmotorsport.com from L.I. - NY.
Do a search on this forum' - use archives, that's what I did and found lots of info, that's why I got Eibachs, not H&R.
Good luck!

Vik, the flat or round end refers to the top of the coil. you gotta get under the truck to see if the tip of your factory is round or flat.
i used eibachs, and thought they were a little too conservative.
some guys with h&r's had some serious drops.
Pointman, I never catch your real name, my bad, anyway
i have a 2002 ML320, which one do I have, do you have any idea, also you think I'll be good using stock shocks with the H&R's? Also, how much did you pay to get yours installed and where and how is the ride quality compared to stock on stock wheels/tires? Thanks buddy!

can't tell which you have by the year. gotta look under the truck man. you can use stock shocks. not a problem. if you want to stiffen it up you can always change them later on. you can get them done in fort lee or on 46. ride... i think its a lot nicer. i like a stiffer suspension. its nothing unforgiving. just a little more tight. better cornering too.
