Is it possible to get the DVD based Mercedes nav system into a 2002 ml320? I have the Bose CD system installed and wonder if the answer is "yes" to DVD based bave system..will this function with my current CD system as well.
Well I currently do NOT have a nav system in my 2002 ml320. So..it is possible to put the DVD based module in? And what do these units run in price? Installation? I have read the installation DIY in the publications section but that adresses older 320 models NOT the 2002.
So how easy is it for the 2002? Pricing info helpful.

I had a local Mercedes shop (not dealer related, butindividually owned) install my DVD NAV and he charged me about $60 including resetting the code on the radio. Bought the unit new/unopened box on eBay about 6 months ago for about $650 including new disk. That is about as frugal as it gets. Worked perfectly from the time I left the shop!
Good luck,

So Benza, you're saying I can replace my CD drive in my dash nav with an off-the-shelf DVD reader, much like upgrading my PC? No dealer recoding or anything? Coolness.
Well I do NOT currently have a CD nav system just the regular radio and cassette with the bose 6 cd in the back- I want to add the DVD nav system- Do I need to change out the whole unit?
