New here - Just got a 2002 ml320

I just wanted to say hello- I am in NYC and just picked up a certified 2002 ml 320. 15,900 miles on it. It had the bose cd changer and xenon headlights installed. Heated seats and sunroof. Any I read practically every post in this forum from the past few months before I made the purchase and found the forum quite helpful so thank you- to all.

The only thing I did notice when I got the vehicle home is that in the center console underneath the "roll up" (I dont know what else to call it)door there is no tray- just exposed screws and and an empty space. What should be there?

And one more thing-

The compartment on the trunk door opposite th e first aid kit is missing what was in there- NOT sure what belongs..anyone know? (maybe flares?)

Feedback appreciated-

In the consul there should be a large cup holder. The hatch compartment is for an emergency triangle not supplied for US cars (only european).

Ahh the cup holder is missing? Thank you- I thought with the pop out cup holders on the ends of the dash..the center console must be for change or the like. MORE cup holders...hmmmm

Cocnering the triangle...there was something in there that is now missing... hard to belive Mercedes would put the compartment into a US vehicle and not stock it with something...

Console cup holder assembly slides in and cost about $40 to replace.

Did you know that the MBZ vehicles built in Europe include the triangle, and that it is removed at the VPC once it reaches the US? They say it’s because it does not meet US specs, but I don’t see how a reflective triangle could be out of spec for the US. It must be a size and shape issues, as my US-spec Audi has one. Why would MBZ remove them? And what in the heck would they do with them? Are there dumpsters full of reflective triangles at the VPC’s?

What fits well in the compartment are long road flares. I think I was able to shove three or four in there.
