Yes, not a typo, 148,000 miles traveled in my '99 ML 320. On my 4th MAF sensor, other than that just maintence items. Not a leak of anything anywhere nor a hint of any type of leak below.....I got a Wed Built ML :)

That's good to hear. Are you still on OEM tranny and transfer case fluid?
Did you do the spark plugs at 100K or before? I know your driving is severe up there, but is it mostly highway or combined city/highway? How many brake pads/rotor changes did you go through? I wish you another 100K+.

Plugs at 70k (came out perfect and looked great according to wrench), trans fluid at 70k, 100k, and SOON. Front and rear axles, and transfer case every 30k, may be over kill but cheap insurance since I am in it for the long haul. Mostly Highway, 85 mph Plus is the norm here.
How did you replace the transmission fluid? I was under the impression this is a difficult job because so much of the oil remains in the torque converter where it cannot be drained. I think I was told it has to be flushed, like drain and replace while it is running or something. Just draining it with the trans in neutral and engine stopped then refilling it only replaces a small portion (perhaps better than nothing).

Contratulations!
I just hit 9,000 in my 2003 last week. [:)] It's now 14 months old.

what else did you have to replace (if anything) ?
I'm thinking window switches, brake rotors, battery, O2 sensors, brake switch etc. You know all the things which fail / wear out periodically.
Maybe your 148,000 miles was predominantly freeway which might go some ways to explain such an outstanding record.
Whereas most of our 69,000 miles has been stop go round town which likely explains some of our 'issues' with our ML !
BTW our ML is going in for radiator and transmission flush / refill this Friday.
Also having the harmonic balancer replaced at the same time. Preventative maintenance on an ML is good thing.
