RE: Kleemann Supercharger

sorry for bringing thread back from the dead, but, Mosselman makes a supercharger kit for the ML320 as well.
Straight forward to install, you should be able to get it for $7500. Took me about 12 hours to install it in the middle of the winter.

RE: Kleemann Supercharger

lt's funny..l think the 55, has unreal speed to begin with..l couldn't imagine another 100 H.P., but it would be nice...l had an opportunity to drive one of my wife's manager's Porsche Cayenne Twin Turbo, and l have to be honest...it was dangerous...it was more than l could handle...lt was just soo ridiculous, how quick it got to 100 miles an hour...lt will be interesting to see the spec's on the ML 63 !!!! [:D]

http://www.mosselmanturbo.com/ is the website, but the ML is not listed there. I dealt with a guy called Omar Fernandez in Florida. He ordered from Mosselman, and had it dropped shipped to me in Toronto. About 2 weeks from order to delivery. Support from Mosselman is good. I had to call a couple of times, always got fast correct responses. Had one issue of a defective idler pulley bearing, they sent me both the idler and tensioner pullies right away. Contact info for Omar is

I want the Kleeman for my 55. Just have to convince the wife that I need that much more power!
http://www.renntechmercedes.com/pdf/W163.PDF

Just trying to help! Good luck.[;)]

Too further add to the cost they wanted me to ship my car down to FL so they could install at their shop. They do have some nice menu items though!

http://www.kleemann.dk/site/64A747CF-C73A-49B7-92CC-07209322635F.htm

if the link does not work go to the site and look for the car configurator
John..you are killing me....l thought, when l purchased this 02 ML 55, l would be content with the power...but after seeing you on the Kleemann site..(You big shot you....)l might start to tinker..Any advice...Thier is a facility in Quebec Canada, that installs and services Kleemann's products...My questions are these....
1. l was thinking about those Kleemann tubular headers....(they look nice)
Could my dealership do this, or should l have the facility do it...
2. l saw the Stage 1 kit, with the ECU upgrade and pulley kit..sounds promising...though, to be honest, l'm afraid to see the cost of these item's..
Any thoughts..would be appreciated....Thanks for the link to the site...[:D]

You and I share a similar insanity in that we are BOTH CRAZY!! [:)][:D]

To answer your post: The prices are very reasonable for all of their non-kompressor mods. Cheaper then Renntech and with the sleep at night factor--they don't call it comfort power for no reason. Kleemann is just great. Not cheap of course but well worth it.

I would go with the facility in Quebec since they have experience with Kleemann. I'm curious to find out if they have exhaust headers for sale for your ML55. They don't have them for my ML430[still waiting to hear back about prototype headers] but I have asked them to create some just for me! You can get 40 bhp with headers and ECU upgrade. Not bad! It's hard to get serious bhp or torque from your exhaust---and find a manufacturer that has an off-the-shelf product.

I can tell you that the kompressor is just amazing. But for $15K installed you should expect some good results! ;) Give Cory a call in Colorado. Tell him you know me. Ask him what they can do for you! Let me know what he tells you...

Got about 7k on it since it was installed. Do not have any dyno numbers on it, but, it is dramatically quicker. Makes the truck enjoyable to drive now. I had a brochure from him that came in the box, but cannot find it now. I will keep looking for it and scan it in when I find it.

How many of you are considering a Kleemann even at the current price?
I am going with the Kleemann for my SL500 in the fall. The specs put it at 500HP.

I paid top dollar for a Dinan SC install on my BMW M3. It was the best money I ever spent. It was like owning an amusement park ride.

(I got about half of the cost back when I sold the car, which is more than I expected.)

At 6.5 pounds of boost (very mild) it added over 100HP to a 240HP motor. With no intercooler.

It was worth the money because...

CARB certification and a CARB sticker inside the engine bay lets you pass SMOG II. There is no way to install an SC yourself and not risk failing the visual inspection.

What is CARB? California Air Resource Board.
