Transmission/transfer case/diff fluid change? anyone have this done?

My local dealer recommended this. They do not flush the trans, but they drain the pan and torque convertor and said they let it drain for a while and use compressed air etc and they said this takes out most of the fluid. They also said i should do the transfer case and diffs... Do you think I should go ahead and do these services? or take it to someone that will use a flushing machine on the transmission? Shift quality is ok, but a little bumpy at times.

Dealer did transmission at 95,000 miles per my request as I tow. No mention of anything else needed. Sorry, I didn't watch so don't know how it was done.

RE: Transmission/transfer case/diff fluid change? anyone have this done?

I just did them all myself. At 128,000 miles,I thought it was time.

I weighed the fluid I removed from the trans and the torque converter and then just put the same amount back in. It was just over 7 quarts. I used Mobil 1 ATF. There was some tiny brass shavings in the pan and a I cut open the filter and found a few very small pieces of metal, I will try to attach a picture.

On the differentials, you always make sure you can get the fill plugs loose before you DRAIN the fluid out I used 75W-90 Mobil 1 lubricant in both. You just fill it in until it is level with the bottom of the fill hole. It was just over a quart on the front diff, and almost two quarts on the rear diff.

On the transfer case, I also used Mobil 1 ATF. Fill to the bottom of the fill hole, just like the diffs.
