1998 ML 320 cupholder uninstall

Hi,

Can anyone help me with the UNinstalling of the passenger/driver cupholder? I bought the little arm with the pin to replace inside so that the cupholder would open and stay shut. I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly before I use too much force and break anything else. Help!
