Another AMG Cluster Install Question

Called the dealer to order an AMG cluster for my 99 ml430. I did some research and came up with two part numbers. I was told by the dealer that both might work but they are not sure and also the prices vary a lot.
163 540 2411- this is $400

163 540 7411- this is $815. this is one i was told to get. I'm sure because of the price.

Does anyone know which one should I purchase?
Which one is going to work? Which part #?
I did search and come up with various posts?
thanks in advance

RE: Another AMG Cluster Install Question

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you looking to get the chrome rings around the cluster or are you looking for new gauges or something else.

From the price I'd say it's a whole new cluster with new gauges etc. I paid much less for just the chrome rings. (Or the dealers making lots of profit...)

sorry, don't know the part #'s though as I got it through Drew. Maybe someone else will have that.

RE: Another AMG Cluster Install Question

Well since you have a 99 ML430 that means you still have the D 4 3 2 1 gated shift. When the 2000 came out it switched to the - D + gear shifts. So even if the dealer would install the 55 speedo unit on your car. It will have a blank window next to the clock.
