Need help on removing Skyview wind deflector

I have a 2001 ML320 with Skyview roof. I can't figure out how to disassemble the wind deflector for cleaning/detailing purposes. Primarily, I can't seem to figure out how to remove the plastic cover shown below at the end of the yellow arrow.

Does anybody know how to remove this cover? Thanks

RE: Need help on removing Skyview wind deflector

If I remember correctly the part you arrowed unclips forwards with a light or medium tap.

I do not remember exactly BUT I do remember that the wind deflector is actually stuck to the roof with self adhesive tape so I do not recommend trying to remove it. If you do remove it, and there is not enough stick left to stick it back to the roof, you may be left with a small gap which might whistle!

I installed this wind deflector, even though I have the small glass sunroof, to reduce the very high noise levels I experienced from the sunroof when it was open. I remember thinking when I installed it that I should never try to remove it for the above reason and also it might unstick some paint?

BTW where can I get one? How hard is it to clean? How is it with snow? This could be my next mod!

THANKS

If you do a search on Google for "Lamella Skyview Roof Deflector W163 ", you'll find them.

The sunroof deflector is a standard Mercedes part number, I bought mine from the dealer.
