I just bought a 99 ML 430 and would like to do the nav retrofit.
Could anyone giveme an idea of where to start and what to expect.

You should buy from one of the forum members named BENZA...he has the most authorotative and complete set of instructions... However you can also do a search using the SEARCH button on this site.
