HELP! Changed battery and ....

the dealership is "special" ordering another key for me -- i only had one. it does sound like a key issue.
the dealership (here in reno) said that the keys had to be cut somewhere in the "east". the reno,nv dealership don't cut keys they just code/program them.

it's going to take about 2 days for the keys to arrive. the dealership said that they will need 2 keys to make everything work -- 1 in the ignition and 1 for the door while they program everything.

we'll see what else transpires!

it was a bad key! the new key worked like a charm. hope this helps others out there that might encounter the same problem.
