I am going to remove my rear seat in the next few days - there is this annoying groan/squeak from the rear seats and I am hoping to remove it and put some sort of backing to where the seat mounts to the floor.
Is this easy or hard? Any tips...
Thanks

It's not hard at all. There are male torx fasteners that hold the seat to the
floor - don't recall what the size is, but get a set of torx wrenches. You'll need some thread locker (I used Locktite brand - the medium strength, just in case I have to remove the seats again. Be careful with the seat belt sensor harness - it's tricky to unlock. The plastic floor trims are also tricky to undo. Be careful not to break a tab or you'll be loking at more rattles. If you do happen to damage them and you don't have a VES and your's is MY02+, I have a brand new set if you want, for free - they came off when I installed the VES. Other than that, be careful lifting the 65% seat, it's heavy!!! Good luck.

so how many bolts are there to remove the rear seats? hey darkman, can you show us how to remove the plastic panels under the seats? i need to run some wiring under there.
paul said he had to stick a tire iron inside cause of the carpet being glued down.
